I currently have a 650RL Love it and learning a lot. The other week I swapped with a Hyo 250GT to practice some cone laps while she tried my bike.
The conversation went like I love your bike Alex wish the bars were lower. I replied I really can’t get used to this riding position. Not sure if it was the large tank or my large tummy but I found it really hard weaving those cones but started to get the offset cones going.
This got me thinking how hard it would be to convert to this style of riding when I upgrade to ZX-6R or 10R?
Is worth swapping the bars? I sort want to keep this bike as stock as possible for resell value.
Thank in advance

Re: SWapping to sports style bars.
Doubt its worth swapping. You'd need rearsets as well to get the position right.
And you'd probably need new clutch cables etc.
Once you've been riding a while you'll be able to ride anything so don't worry.

That is why God made fast motorcycles, Bubba.... Hunter S. Thompson.

Re: SWapping to sports style bars.
Sorry about reviving a dead thread but....you serious? the consensus on some of the U.S forums are that the sports bars are the first or second thought of mod with the 650's and are classified almost as a must have.
