1200 radiator in an 1100

Post by goanna_38 »

Hi,
Has anyone on here installed a zzr1200 radiator in a D model 1100? Supposedly a bolt up fit and a few members on another board have supposedly done it. The board is an international one and they're all overseas (Europe mainly) and there are a few mixed messages about fuses and wiring, so I was wondering if anyone here in OZ had done it. Would be good if it's an easy fit, but I'm always a bit leary on doing something with either no info or conflicting thoughts.
If a man says something, and there is no woman there to hear him, is he still wrong?

Radiator and exhaust are supposed to be a straight swap. Radiator has twin fans but some people on other board report that they blow the 10 amp fuse and you have to replace it with a 15. All good so long as the wires don't melt which is my major concern. Like I said, wondering if anyone in OZ has done it.

I have owned both models and from memory different wiring for fan switch. Other than that they are the same.(diff fans though.)
