Yoshi R77D 3/4 system - nowhere for the O2 sensor to go???

Post by DHM »

Hey guys, could use some advice. I have a 2011 ZX-10R and bought Yoshi R77D 3/4 system and PCV from Mike at Riders Discount (who was great to deal with btw) but the link pipe doesn't have provision for the O2 sensor. The Dynojet website doesn't list an O2 optimizer or O2 eliminator kit for the 2011 model. Can anyone suggest any options for me? Many thanks in advance.
Cheers, Dave.

You will have to get a threaded socket (pref' .same material as linkpipe) welded in for the OEM O2 sensor until Power Commander extract there R&D digit and fix the autotune module which I wasnt suppose to have yet.

I can take a pic for you to show the position if you like, but wont be until Monday when I visit the workshop.

The stock O2 sensor works fine with just the PCV as mine does.

Any exhaust shop should have the bungs in stock but they are usually just steel. Instead you might want to track down a bolt shop and get yourself a stainless nut to do the job for a couple of bucks. Most O2's are 18x1.5mm thread but you may need to check it. Take the O2 with you.

I wonder if a Gen 3 O2 elimnator would work or zx6 ones a few carry over parts to the gen 4 worth a shot there only 20 bucks or something. I also heard the newer Yoshi 3/4 have the bung now.

That would be great Jonno if you could take a pic for me. Did I understand you correctly that the PCV works fine with the stock O2 sensor and no O2 optimizer? If so are you running a custom tune or one from Power Commander?
