Exhaust Problem
Hi,I just purchased a new M4 GP slipon muffler, for my 2011 ZX10R, but the sensor bung is too small for the hole on the muffler, so I can't put the sensor inside, how would I go about fixing the problem or would it hurt my bike not to have the sensor bung in there.

Re: Exhaust Problem
when you find out tell me
I am waiting....
Apparently power commander has not finished the development of the auto tune yet and those of us have got them cant use them yet and they were not suppose to be shipped at all, but i hear that serco oz p/l does have a correct size sniffer about to be available soon. I am sure there is other o2 sensors that will fit but I havnt heard of one yet, not that i am looking hard.
I cant remember what I did with the akra if I have it in or not, prolly not. I will check tomorrow when I get to the workshop.
I suspect it will cause issues if you dont have it in, unless its tuned which I have done.

Re: Exhaust Problem
Dave, the o2 sniffer is bigger in thread diameter than most of the bung/boss in the after market exhaust link pipes, if you size up with fittings it will be too far from the gasses to work properly. Thought about already, like I said there is rumour that Serco will have a correct sized one out soon.Disco wrote:Pirtek???

Re: Exhaust Problem

Re: Exhaust Problem
Yeah i have the MGP slipon and came across the same issue when i put on the PCV and Autotune. Need to possibily do a bit of handy man work and get the welder out.
If u dont do it you may come across a couple of F.I issues as it might upset the ECU.
Best is not to put it on until u get the other stuff from what iv been told.

Re: Exhaust Problem
I just looked at the bike, the akra link pipe I have has a smaller diameter thread for the standard 10R oem sensor, the PCV autotune sensor is larger and it does come with a ready to weld on socket, however the link pipe is titanium and the socket is mild steel which may be a problem to weld? and obviously will rust.
