out but not down!!

Post by greaser07 »

went for a spin this arvo, cruisin down the old princess hwy, dropped 2 gears to get the revs back up and ,what the!??no gears!the chain broke, luckily didnt wrap around the rear wheel, but managed to break some of the housing in the sump(didnt have a real close inspetion) and dropped all the oil all over the road and rear wheell.again steeped i was going in a straight line so will have a closer look tomorrrow at the damages.it was a fairly old chain but still was in good condition,or so i thought anyway!....

the bike had been idle for a year before i bought it,the chain/sprockets were by no means new but were well lubed and correctly tensioned,I had done about 3k on it with no probs beforehand so dunno why this happened??i did change the front sprocket to 16 tooth(-1)anyway im still in 1 piece so now need to fix fi issues...
