anyone know what model and year bike this engine is out of?

Could it be a GPX750 engine?

from what i can find it was stamped on most engines from 1987-90,has a little on this other forum but doesnt really say to much but might help

GPX750 motor modified for the ZXR750 H1 1989 I think, ask Chris (aka.. Netbikes)

thanks heaps for the replies...tried searching (obviously) for the answer but couldn't find anything.

This is the race engine that supposedly came from TKA (Number 18) and has been modified to fit the J1 ZXR750. Just starting to get it together to put into the bike.
