Another ebay leathers question.
Found this mob, RELTEX, while hunting around on fleabay today.

Has anyone heard of them before or knows of their gear? For the price, its kind of hard to go past if the quality is good.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

Re: Another ebay leathers question.
Thanks for the links, but I was actually asking if anyone had heard anything about this brand.
For the price, they can't be any worse than the budget brands listed above, and it actually works out cheaper even with postage. At least they aren't chinese.

Re: Another ebay leathers question.
I have reservations about cheap leathers, I bought a MZR 1-pc suit in Malaysia. Fitted nice I looked the part with speed hump and all.
The true test came when I had a 120kph low side at the track in Dubai and blew out the arse and right sleave. I had them properly repaired at Highside leathers in Brisvegas. The guy fixed the stitching and added another layer of leather in the arse (which it was supposed to have as per Aus track regs).
The thing is the low side was pretty inocuous cause the track had very good sealed run off areas doubt I would have been so lucky at places like Qld Raceway.

I always think that it's problematical buying anything online that you can't actually try on and make sure it fits properly.
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left. Phil

Re: Another ebay leathers question.
So the gist I'm getting is it's ok to buy cheap leathers from Australia, but it's not ok to buy cheap leathers from anywhere else? I don't see the difference between buying a $400 set of leathers from the UK and getting the same quality from here for an extra $100. This mob have a website too, if anyone bothered to have a look. http://reltex.co.uk/index.php
I bought my leather pants from Bikers Gear Australia about 3 years ago for $150. They survived one off already, slow speed, but from what I'm hearing, low speed offs seem to create the most damage with burst seams etc. Because I didn't pay $400 for the pants, does that mean they are shit? For someone on a tight budget, value for money is something that is looked at quite closely. My original question was "Has anyone had any experience with these?", not "Tell me where I can get other cheap arse leathers that are probably the same quality and come from the same factory as these." According to their website, they don't appear to be bad for the money, and for the price of a carton extra, you can even upgrade them.
Unfortunately not all of us have $1000+ spare to buy a "recognised brand".

Re: Another ebay leathers question.
We are just warning u of dodgy leathers being sold on ebay, they might be ok they might not but being on a tight budget i would prefer to look at what i'm buying first so to not dust your $400 on shit leathers, there is no quality control with shit on ebay... No one is saying spend $1k or $3k on leathers but buying from the lower end of the market its slightly more risky on quality of the unknown.

"My original question was "Has anyone had any experience with these?",
"NO" my preferences lie elsewhere
but hay knock yourself out
The places I was suggesting were available to touch and feel for proper fit sorry if the extra info is overwhelming
