ZZR 250 fairings

Post by DWC »

I got my bike 2 weeks ago and don't have a manual for it yet.
Can somebody tell me how to get the rear/underseat fairing off. I've taken out the screws front and back, but I can't get it out of the tail-light section.
Cheers

Hi and welcome.

From memory to remove the tail fairings there is a screw on the front section holding it to the frame and one joining it to the plastic bit just behind the seat. You also need to remove the luggage clips on each side. To do that just flick them up and underneath is a screw. After that it should just slip off
Bit hard to describe but if you look at the bike you should be able to decipher my gibberish

Hi mate,
So you have taken out the screws that are under the luggage strap points,
I thought I was missing something too,
But then I gave it a bit of a pull.. (lol)
And all that was holding the fairing on was the rubber plug things, and they take a bit of muscle to pull out,
Have a squiz with a torch from underneath; you should be able to see the plug up the front of the fairing
Good Luck Buddy
