For those looking for a gear indicator, try the datatool version...

I reckon they're a good idea if you're planning on going that hard. Easier and quicker to pick up what's going on without having to read the tacho.

bloody lazy ppl... :D

there pretty nesesary on a cbr250, if you let it drop out of the range they die badly and you loose momentum and its also real easy to hit the rev limiter on the track and they die just as quick from that as well.

Course if you have a 6 or bigger you can just about leave it in third and hang on. but they look a bling gadget.

I could do with one of these for track days. I will keep the web info and buy one when I am a little more cashed up. :)

6 years on my TLS and I could use a shift light, I still bounce off the limiter and use it to let me know it's time to grab another gear.

But it's a bit spendy for me. The limiter it will have to stay.

(It peaks at 8.5K rpm and carries a flat line through to 10.5K rpm - no falling off or running out of puff to let you know it's time to change).

Hi All... someone told be a thread started here! If ya have any questions about the shift indicator, your welcome to ask. I don't want to impose on your forum unless welcome, so please don't think I'm jumping in to push a product. These aren't from some big manufacturer, and I'm far from making a profit yet, but like people to know how they work rather than assumptions to kick in.

They are in use from newbies, to road riders, to track riders, to racers, training aid and even a rally driver :P (but four wheels don't count ) If you want to know more about how these are used, read this...

Cheers.. Eclipze :)
