Post by Wilso12r »

Hey all, long time browsing on this site, bought time I joined in. I ride a zx12r and absolutely love it to bits. Thanks for the wealth of info you guys put up every day, hope I can contribute in some way.

Yes 12r. 06 model. Had it for about a year now and wouldn't trade it for anything. Previous owner had looked after it extremely well. She's as clean as a whistle!!

Couldn't have gold rims, gold lower fairing, gold stickers, gold brakes, gold front forks and not have a gold chain!!!! :D
I bought it as is, the only thing I have done is aftermarket air filters, Replaced the seat cowl (brand new ebay special) and bought a ventura rack.
Things to do:
- Replace the broken inner fairing covering the air ducts, which broke off whilst doing a ride day at PI. (seems extremely common for the little tab to break off. Saw it either broken or hairline crack on every 12 I looked at buying).
- There seems to be a click in the bottom end of the forks, only noticable at carpark speed, probably still there at highway speed, just cant tell. Next service is meant to be fork oil, so might get it sorted then.
- Do I or do I not get aftermarket exhaust and PC3 - the eternal question. My hobies include spending copious hours looking up exhausts for ZX12r from the US. One day maybe.........
