Single Bubble Screen
Single Bubble Screen
Hey guys, my mate rides a CBR600 and after having a go on my ('97
) ZZR250 suggested a single bubble windscreen for better acceleration.
Any body got any thoughts on this, or know where I can get one from. I've struggled looking online..
Thanks

Your mate's got no idea you'll never notice a difference unless your looking for an extra half a second at Phillip island. Better to save your money for fuel and tyres.guydog wrote:Hey guys, my mate rides a CBR600 and after having a go on my ('97

If your keen on increasing acceleration around the burbs look at changing your gearing, but having never owned a 250 I can't speak for the best way go about this or the effectiveness. anyone?

Re: Single Bubble Screen
if you want more acceleration just drop a tooth off the front sprocket. but in doing that you will sit fairly high in the revs at 100kph...

Re: Single Bubble Screen
Did you/he mean double-bubble?
Single bubble is what I'd consider a normal screen.
How tall are you? If the wind's whacking you in the chest then you'll get better comfort from a double-bubble, but apart from reducing the drag (caused by the wind hitting you) it won't make a difference to your acceleration.
Apart from Rob's link though I don't think you'll find anything for the 250. If you want to go faster - crouch down

If you have no fear, you're not going fast enough.

I'm 6ft, 94kg. I didn't think it would make much difference, hence me asking on here!!

Re: Single Bubble Screen
As long as u can see the gauges i'd leave the smaller screen on, later 636's had the dash obscured right? The windblast off a small screen helps keep weight off your wrists. Id only get a bigger screen for a track/race bike if i couldnt tuck under the stock screen
