about the operation....

Post by mohawk miss »

to those who may wish to know, my operation was on tuesday, seems to have gone well. Very sore.

It appears they may have done a little more than remove the offending bit, as actual theatre time was 3 hours.

No results as yet though :(

Thanks to those who knew and wished me well 8)

Hope all pans out well.

I think you need to change the description of the thread, to "cryptic information about an operation" ;)

Good luck to you. My missus just got through two operations for thyroid cancer, one to remove the tumor, the second a week later to remove the thyroid. We went to the radioligist yesterday and received the radioactive iodine treatment and hopefull all will be well. I hope your news is as positive. Please keep us posted on your progress. :kuda: :)

cheers guys. Best wishes to your mrs, oldman and bear 8)

Currently sporting a very large bruise and still not back at work, and not allowed to ride or drive for at least 3 weeks!

I had an ovary removed due to a suspicious mass inside a cyst. Due to the breast cancer history in my family there was no other option.

At this point in time I will find out "what happens next" on 11th march. A further consideration is now I am part of the genetic research group. I'm not sure how I will feel if testing shows positive for the breast cancer genes.

I have always found the unkown to be more scary than what's known. So, even if it does show up, at least you know and can monitor and deal with it prior to it becoming untreatable. Glad to hear you are mending and I hope you have somone there to make you ckicken soup and put warm blankets on your back. A little TLC is just sooooooo much appreciated when you are feeling less than great. Good luck MM, I am keeping my fingers crossed that you not only recover rapidly, but that those horrible little genes don't turn up and you are back riding as soon as you can. :D
