yeah not looking good for the peoples :( but what pisses me off is that there are people that take advantage of a bad situation like Queenslands disasters. E.G When for example bananas are imported normally we can buy them cheaper than aussie bananas but when Aussie crops are wiped out and we still import them they for some reason go up buy $5.00 a kilo + :shock: .Same with apples most of them dont come from Queensland but we are importing them from China and paying $9.00a kilo for them :shock: got me f###ed someones getting rich.

They spoke to the head of the banana growers association up there on the news this morning and he said it will only take about 4 months to recover, and this cyclone actually damaged less crops than Larry did.

He also said there was a fair bit of supply already in the market place, so if the prices go up straight away they're just making more money.

... there are also reports that the cyclone has/is stressing cattle which will effect beef farmers productivity.. +$$$.. :?
Milk/ bread wars will also sting us in a couple of months..

makes you wonder what they do with the rest of the cattle that are scattered around Oz :shock: its not only Queensland cattle that can be eaten.
