helmets at speed
helmets at speed
Hey guys, I am having trouble with my helmet vibrating at speeds over 200, makes it pretty hard to see. Its a 2 year old shark. Any suggestions for helmets that dont vibrate so much? cheers!

Vibrating , hmmm sounds like an ill fitting lid? At over 200 im kissing the chin guard but no vibrations and thats on a naked.
Is the chin strap reasonably tight? Anyway mines an Aria no complaints here.

Arai seem to work best at speed for me???

Ditto for the too big. Is it a new thing or has always done it. I reckon go into a shop and try some lids on, roll your head around, etc. And you're still not sure just tell the guy you wanna take it for a test at 200 to see how she handles

I bought this Shoei XR1100 two days ago, awesome helmet. It's light, quiet and really well made. At 250k+ no vibrations so I have been told

My 2yr old Shoei at just over 200 started to slip, i replaced my cheek pads.. peachy now

It all comes down to how you ride it.....
Re: helmets at speed
+1 on replacing the cheek pads
Re: helmets at speed
try putting on a balaclava first,if the vibration stops, then get a smaller helmet or a shoei x11

Re: helmets at speed
I've got the same lid but in red and white. With my new gearing the shift light is on in 6th at the end of EC straight and when I sit up i've never noticed it..... Could be I'm focussing on turn 1matt1414 wrote:I bought this Shoei XR1100 two days ago, awesome helmet. It's light, quiet and really well made. At 250k+ no vibrations so I have been told![]()
