Rejuvenate faded plastic,anyone know?

Anyone know how to get your old black faded plastic looking like new again?Ive tried the usual shit like Armour All,Mr Sheen and so forth,but, they just dont quite cut it.I took the old zx7r out for a spin today,ended up parking next to a couple of later model zx's,and to be quite honest,mine looked like it had just been rode away from the wreckers,a bike you would buy as a project,something you would do up with your grandson.I've ordered some new bar ends and grips,screen and so on,but the 2 air intake covers are all faded and look like shit,stand out like sunburnt dogs nuts,so if anyone knows of anything that will make them look new again,I would be very appreciative!

just try using some normal car polish - I use Kitten Liquid polish for normal paintwork, but it can also bring back molded plastic stuff ....I used some this weekend to clean up all the black plastic on an old bike I am working on at the moment, it came up really good. Even the dull faded indicator lenses look almost new again

Armour-All, Mr Sheen etc - work OK on new stuff, but the look doesn't last that long....

It works because of the oil content - but like Armour-All, the effect is not long-lasting.

Also try a gentle wave over with a heat gun depending on type of plastic, best try on a inconspicuous spot first.

I did the tired looking plastics on my Maverick back in April. The Mav gets parked outside on the driveway and the plastics still look fantastic!!

I just purchased a headlight restoration kit from Supercheap for the headlight lenses on the Kia, will let you know how/if it works once I do it, not sure I would use it on decent paint work though, it does require sanding.. but maybe, just maybe the polish shit will work on it's pat malone too..

Tony used one of those kits (you met at Harcourt) and his shitty old ford lenses came up brand spankin new

I do maintenance tyvm!! Did all my own oil changes on the 9, cleaned and lubed the chain too. Mind you buying and actually USING said kit is not always the same story but I did actually use this kit today, didn't do a "shit hot" job but did certainly clean the lenses up a fair way.
