Hi again all, it's been a couple of months, but i traded in the Z750 and picked up a new 2010 Z1000. Wow what a bike! i absolutely love it. Turns heads everywhere, handles like a dream, can really feel the difference with the new chassis. Love having the extra power, and the increase in torque is phenominal!!
First pic is one i took with my crappy camera, the other two are taken by my brother with his digital SLR, you can tell the difference!Last one is a pic of the levers after i modded them.
Mods so far are- custom fender eliminator, modded levers, 3M paint protection skin on the paint, +1 tooth on front sprocket(for highway runs), exhaust mod, Evo tech rad guard, horn relocated, MCS mirrors.
cheers
Andrew

Re: My 2010 Z1000
so you cut the knobs of the end of the levers and drilled holes in them???
levers without the knobs are actually defectable. and the holes do a great job of weakening the levers.
I'd be buying a set of Pazzo's of you want bling.
Love the New Zeddy's they look tough a a box of nails

Re: My 2010 Z1000
cheers for the comments, yeah i know i'm not supposed to mod the levers, but fender eliminator is defectable aswell, and i've had local cops look at the bike and didn't say anything. I have a spare set of original levers aswell, just incase. i didn't want to buy pazzo's as they are expensive, and i don't like short levers(like to get all my fingers on the lever if i need to, i only just cut the ball off, no extra). As for the holes, they're smaller than they look, and i used both hands and pulled the front brake into the grip no worries, i don't think it'll get anymore pressure than that.Wattie wrote:so you cut the knobs of the end of the levers and drilled holes in them???![]()
