Zephyr 1100 - Anyone got one ??

Post by Gosling1 »

I have some room in the 4th Dimension.......and want to hear from owners of the Zephyr 1100 - if in fact anyone here owns one ??

I think one of these, specifically the last model (1999?) with Jaffa paint scheme and spoked wheels, will find its way into my shed sooner or later....

Any tips on finding one would be appreciated ! :kuda: :kuda: ( SFA on ebay or all-classies... :? )

There is a fucking clown in every circus !!   nice one Glenno .....god they were fugly those shitboxes....

but the second one - that's the shot. Especially those sidecover badges ! Wonder if they are still available, a set of those would look great on the Pearl....

I really want the wire-wheel model. Not fussed about the paint.......and it will take ages to track one of these down I think......

The last of the 1100's ran an 8-plug head. That motor, is almost.....almost.....what you would have, if you had an air-cooled Rex motor.

I never rated these bikes when they were released, but that picture of the Moriwaki version just released in Japan - well.......it gave me a massive chubby.

Where was that? I must have missed it. I'd really forgotten about Zephyrs but when you look at them they are a pretty classic looking retro bike. WTF were they thinking calling it a Zephyr though, surely something tricky like Z1100 would have been better.

Mate you are gunna have a hell of a job finding ANY for sale. The owners of these things tend not to sell them. I've never heard anyone who has or had one say anything but good things about them either gos. Apparently they grunt like a bastard!!!! 8)

Did they come in Jaffa in the 1100? I thought it was only 750, but they had wire wheels and looked a pretty good Z9 replica from a distance. :D
