Dodgie licence plates

Post by wishbone »

Looked at my bike the other week... Holy shit my license plate had sheared off on the corner and was hanging by one bolt. Apparently Qld gov have gone el cheapo on the material used to make license plates now, and due to the high vibration of the 10's engine it was bound to happen. They take and take from us and cant even give us decent license plates. Qld gov for shame......

Queensland do have some warranty on plates- I'd approach them and see. Otherwise it's only $20 or so. :)
2 X ZRX1200R 4 X ER6N, GT550, 1988 ZX-10, 4 X GPZ250R, 4 X GPZ900R and GPZ750R :) Yeah I like Kawasakis.

That's the reason i use as wide a washer as i can squeeze in at the front of the plate behind the bolt-head. Vibration is absorbed across a wider area, reducing the likelyhood that the metal will crack due to fatigue.
