A nice day

Post by shadowarrior »

Had some great time with Tony (Topcat) today working on my bike. Learnt a couple of things too...

-you got to trick the oil filter to come off, coz the filter plate gets stuck on stock pipes too :)
-the oil filter cap stays on top of the filter..(thanks to Phil's confidence vote), we both were quite stumped there. (I still think the old filter which we took out had the cap towards the bottom of the filter) :|

Thanks for helping me out today Tony, that beer is still due on me :)

I texted you back today morning for reminding me about the exhaust bolt :) It had skipped my mind too.. :P

My thought was right, its the shift pedal being stuck. I took the link rod apart, so it shouldve made the shift pedal move freely, but it was stuck...same reason why the lever could not recoil back after shifts. :kuda:

Another round of wd40 and 15mins of moving the shift pedal to and fro got it smooth as silk. Though, I would need to open the shift pedal assembly and oil/grease it up inside so that its a permanent solution. But was too tight, so couldnt budge that bolt..
Maybe I ll give it a try when we are changing your bike's oil and filter :)
