wilf's Zx6r

Post by wilf »

:kuda:

Well here she is! Got her like a week ago or something and ya I love it. Everything is beyond my expectations....the brakes, the power, the smooth throttle, the firm suspension..just wow. All I have ever ridden are 250s, naked....it'll take me a while to get 100% used to the riding position but it feels pretty natural already on the sneaky little ride around the block I may or may not have done :P . The only little annoyance im finding is that it vibes a bit, but I've only gone to 5krpm so Im guessing it should smooth itself up higher in the range? Hope so anyways.

Ok enough blabber...

Bought her bog stock: (d/w I have all the stock parts still)
Added: fender elimin.
frame knobs,
smaller but brighter indicators
SIngle seat cowl
tank pad (not fitted)
Arrow titanium slip-on (not fitted)

Next on the list is a nice new sticky set of tyres...

Than that'll do her for a good while!

Oh yea I've bled the brakes too, check out the fluid that was in it! Coffee anyone?!?

Now, just have to wait out for the longest 2 months of my life.... :(

Awesome Wilf! Looks great! ;)

You've only been up to 5000 rpm? ... you've got no idea about the power yet

You'll have to update your bike in your profile... and whack your location in there too!

mate awesome looking bike!
So jealous!
Good luck for the 2 months!
Life's journey is not to arrive safely at the grave in a well preserved body. But rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting ...Holy shit...What a ride!

haha tim yea i've only ridden it around the block for 10 mins, and theyre narrow roads...not to mention it was in a downpour. I was very very nervous lol...

7 demerit points and $500 fine if caught riding on restricted license...it's not worth it at all. I have 9 demerit points so 3 more and I'm a gonerrrrr. I'll wait it out!
I'll just service , clean her lots and get her ready for the big day lol...

Just make sure she is ready to go on that big day.
Put the Arrrow can on for example.
Do not be tempted to start her until the big day.
Enjoy.

I would need the patience of a Tibetan monk not ride that bike in your position.. Engine is pretty vibey throughout the rev range unfortunately..

Very nice! You chose the right colour!

Bugger about the vibes, its nothing too serious though, makes her feel alive. Maybe experiment with some heavier bar ends later could help.

I can't wait to get some proper seat time! then hit the creek on her

Mate of mine, who gets his fulls in a month just bought a cbr1000 repsol (crazy mofo) so can't wait to ride again!

Nice bike Wilf,

I had one of these when i first got off my 250. I absolutely loved it (and still miss it occasionally).
I was in the same situation as you with the waiting period but I didn't have as much self control...

Enjoy :kuda:

I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.
