Hi All, Newbie in Kununurra W.A

Post by gmeddy »

Hi, i already posted in the ZZR discusion area i think.
I will soon have a ZZR250 98 model, and I asked some advice on it.

I live in Kununurra, affectionatly called "Cook-a-nurra" by some... hot has hell at the moment, although we've had a nice bit of cloudy weather just now with the Cyclone not far away.

The ZZR looks pretty good cond. apart from the fairings up front, otherwise very neat and tidy, once the dust, cobwebs and frog poo are cleaned off.
sorry i didn't post in this area first.
look forward to reading some interesting posts from you guys as i go on learning about my bike. ;)

will find out what the ridings like when i get this bike on the road.
anybody got any advise for me?
put the battery on the charge last night, looks like its completely stuffed, no response at all to the charger.
i hooked up another little 12v battery i had with me for testing, and i turned the key, the lights came on on the dash, so thats a good sign. will not turn it over til i drain fuel and put new stuff in.

FYI any Century stockist can supply you with Katana and YUASA (oem) bike batteries - I sell them a tad cheaper than the bike shops in Kalgoorlie but that's privvy info ;)

Oh and HTFU - you got beaches and fishing - more than us

the local bike shop here in Kununurra priced a sealed battery for me at $85.00. hows that compare?
they also told me that if i need a new front brake master cyl it will be 450.
after adding up the possible costs i'm up for with this bike, i've offered her 400 bucks for it and she's accepted.
should be able to ride away looking like new for under 2k.
sound good?
