And we thought our speed cameras were bad. Be worth a few points here.

A motorcyclist has been clocked by speed camera at an incredible 383mph, more than half the speed of sound.
Paolo Turina is fighting the allegation, which he says shows the speed camera must be defective.
“If I could go that fast I'd enter my bike in the MotoGP world championships,” said the 26-year-old. “Valentino Rossi would not stand a chance. What did they think they were clocking - a jet fighter?"
He is appealing against losing his licence and a £200 fine for the alleged offence, clocked by a speed camera in Italy.
He said: "If the court rules the fine will stand then I'm going to send it to the Guinness Book of Records. After all if the court says it’s true then I should get the credit for this remarkable feat."
Police say the camera unit is not faulty and the speed has been exaggerated by a clerical error. The appeal court has yet to decide on the case.

On a Moto Guzzi yet!
Probably wouldn't be able to make that speed if you rolled it out the back of a Herc at 20,000 feet.

That's about the right speed for a Guzzi! The exit speed of the piston as it exits the crankcases through it's self made hole that is!!!Gosling1 wrote:Ratmick wrote:On a Moto Guzzi yet!

Re: Speeding biker clocked at 383mph
I am not sure which one I would want.
Loss of licence and Guiness World Record or to make the police eat their words and have the conviction scrapped followed by a request for a public apology.
It may depend on how long I lost my licence for and what my insurance premiums went up to.

He was obviously riding a 2003 ZZR 250, making it quite believable. Yes, he should loose his license for letting out the secret of how quick those bikes really are!!! heheheh (brainwashing still evident)

Thanks
