If anyone has ever sold anything on Ebay, you know that it costs a certain amount to list your item, then it costs you more if you sell your item, then if the person pays with Paypal it costs you even more - or if you have to relist the item it costs you again
But - I've come across an Ebay alternative, it's Australian, and it's free.

At the moment there isn't a huge amount of traffic on the site - but I'm sure as word gets around there will be more. The site looks like a twin of Ebay, so it's pretty easy to navigate around.
