Post by Colette »

Helibars don't seem to have kits for an 06 model. :?

Hahah you leave a post alone for a few hours and look what happens!

I am considering raising the bars as one option to stop the constant numbness I am feeling in my right arm and hand. It is getting to the point where it really hurts and is taking away so much of my enjoyment of riding. I sit at a computer all day at work and suspect I might even have rsi.

I don't want to - nor can afford to - sell my beautiful batgirl, so I am looking into solutions to the problem.

What about something as simple as Gel grips??

Cath uses them, says they are a bit nicer on the hands. 8)

You can also take a lot of weight off the bars by using you abs more. But speak to Glen he went the soft option on his 10 so will be able to give you his opinion of the bar risers.

hahahaha - hell, *I* don't know which ones I use. If Wattie does, that'll be gold

I don't think they're gel though.
Ummm, I'll check when I get home - I think I have a spare set, still in the packaging. They do wear down a bit, I'm on my second pair at the moment. And you need to keep pulling them back up (say every 5000 k's) as the slide down over time, and end up vibrating a lot more when they're slightly bunched up on the bar end. But they are a bit better than the original ones.
