Personalised plates: You be the judge.

Post by King Nicholas »

Hello Citizens,

I wanted to know everyone's take on personalised plates.
They can be bad because they are memorable.
They can be good because they add character.
There are many other reasons but I wanted to get and idea of what people thought and why?
King Nicholas. Keeping it unreal.

Its a matter of personal preference but in the past I have had the plates reflect something about the bike so it can be sold with the bike if need be.

Hmmm - mostly they seem to be another way of spelling 'wanker' on the back of a Nissan 200SX or Subaru WRX. Dangerous waters! 8)

When you are riding on those nice, smooth, new sections of bitumen on the OPH .............. think nice thoughts about me, please.

Cause my $190 per year paid for it !! :kuda:
I've spent over 40 years of my life riding bikes .... the rest of it, I wasted ..
If it's got wheels or tits, it's gonna give you trouble !

Voting needs a third choice for the fence sitters....... me.........

I don't mind them, if like Rob said, they something about the bike......

No way would I pay a large annual fee for them and there is no way I would pay for, or display those wanky ones.... ISXY4U... UNVME .... etc

I have one on my car but it's a ridiculus price for the bike in the ACT so not interested in paying $2000 for a "unique" plate as they call them, but my car is still registered in WA and that one only cost me $250 I think

i have personal plate, my initials and birth year, my 18th bday present. they match my old mans (sort of) anyways, i also have personal plates on my car. they sort of say wattie. WAT-71E, i wouldnt pay for a plate that suited a bike or car, coz you cant keep it when you upgrade.

also, the yearly fee it a bit sucky. lucky i got mine before they started the yearly fee. 8)

Had them on my old bike, thought better of it on my current one - the less memorable the better. Especially with a loud exhaust and the EPA report a vehicle BS.
