On the motorbike I just purchased, a few drops of something has been spilled on the instrument panel, corroding the plastic in a few spots. I was looking around for an instrument panel cover, when my dad suggested that I look for a whole new instrument panel. It was about then that I realised that would change my total kilometre reading.
If that was possible, why wouldn't people do that all the time when selling motorbikes with lots of K's on them?
New part for bike spurred an interesting thought.

Because if you a bike that's been looked after, it will have a service history/logbook. And if the km's don't match up people will work it out..

Unfortunately/luckily? this bike does not have a service record. I have gone over it and its been looked after. But no service record, hence part of the reason i got such a great price for it. The bike has 40k on it.tanyathecheeky wrote:Because if you a bike that's been looked after, it will have a service history/logbook. And if the km's don't match up people will work it out..

And did you find any way to make these marks disappear? Or am I looking at a new cluster?mrmina wrote:i think that something could be brake fluid. It happened to me on my 250
