Hi All Newbie to this site in SA

Post by EACRUISER »

Hi all,

I'm Simon ,

New to this site, but have been riding for a while now.

I guess i will start off with a bit about me

I work in a Hospital. and get enjoyment picking up the tools and tuning things.

Started off riding road bikes on a Yamaha xs250 on my L's in 2000 after hotting up a few cages over the years.
Then jumped up to a Suzuki GS500 for my R-Dates curtesy of the introduced LAMS laws :D

Neither of those bikes really had a personality, they were fun to ride but the feedback was limited.

The best purchase was the 1994 ZZR1100 even with the blown transmission and having to fix it up.
This bike seems to call to you. and when you ride it, its like it has its own personality or soul.

Put it into a few corners that i didn't think it would make it round, but it did. It just wanted to stay upright.
It is an awesome bike to ride with great feedback through the controls. and you get a good feeling from it.

Well i guess i am converted. Still got the Suzuki, but the Kawasaki takes pride and place.

I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.

Out north of Adelaide, swearbear9r..

lol Tim, yeah the 500 was fun while i was on restrictions.
Put an exhaust on it, Custom Tuned the carbs and fitted 2 ram intakes on a custom sealed fiberglass airbox.
It rode sweet.

But the kawasaki is in a league of its own.

Just fitted a Laser K1 Exhaust last night onto the zzr1100 and a K&N airfilter. So the bug has hit on this bike as well. time to tune it..
