A rumour has been going around for a few days that Kawasaki Aus will not have team to race in next years ASBK series.
With the series a bit a of a mess, no "good" results this year and no new bike for 2010 who can blame them..
Looks like I'll be following the Canadian superbikes...

One of the last chances to see Team Kawasaki Aus could be at P.I.
We should all be there to cheer on the Hayate inthe GP's and KRT in the Aus superbikes.
Next years gunna be a quiet one for Kawasaki... Unless your Canadian.. .

Be a huge shame if this rumour proves true. If TKA could get some significant backing and a top talent (Curtain is very good but not at his best anymore) then I think they could be very competitive. It's a blow for the relevance of the series too and the confidence in the direction of it having a manufacturer pull out I think.Hopefully the fortunes of Kawasaki and ASBK will turn around for the better.

KRT Road Racing Suspended in 2010
Due to the current economic climate and the ongoing uncertainty of the 2010 series, Kawasaki has decided to suspend all KRT road racing activities in 2010.
Although KRT road racing activity has been suspended for next year, Kawasaki still looks forward to supporting road racing on a more “grass roots” level in 2010.
KRT will continue to compete throughout the remainder of the 2009 season and is confident of achieving podium success in the Supersport class with ZX-6R rider Ben Attard currently sitting in 3rd place in the Championship.
No decision has been made as to KRT’s involvement in Australian road racing beyond the 2010 season.
Kawasaki sincerely thanks Kevin Curtain, Ben Attard, Dave “Radar” Cullen and the KRT mechanics, the sponsors and the many KRT supporters for all their hard work and competitive results to date in 2009.

Maybe if the purchaser had as much support as the Yank buyers they would sell more.
Kawasaki USA you can get paint codes and spare parts.
Aus site is shite
Why is Kawasaki quite shit in the GP and SBK, relatively speaking?
Considering the huge success of Yamaha in GP and SBK and the many different manufacturer teams except Kwakas.
It's annoying.
Is it just the riders or is there something wrong with the bikes for racing?
I thought the zx10 had more power than the gixxer and r1 and I don't know about the GP with Melandri's bike in comparison to Rossi's or Stoner's.
And I know it's not all about power with racing but still...
