Re: gpx 250 caliper
if you dont have any luck mate, spray some WD40 around the pistons, and try and pump them out (this will be fairly messy) or blow them out with compressed air, watch out they will fly out and give the pistons a clean.
or first off take it off the disk and pump the lever, see which piston moves as sometime only 1 moves, jam that piston with a screwdriver or bit of wood to stop it from moving and pump again, hopefully this frees them up and you should be able to get in there and give the piston a clean without making a mess with brake fluid
hope this helps or just try findapart.com

Re: gpx 250 caliper
yea i will pull it apart when i get my car regod again i might have to just get the caliper reconditioned but as i ride it to work everyday its a bit hard atm to take it off the road. it all started when i got the tyres changed when i put the wheels back on i had hardly any front brakes so i bled them, a few small bubbles came out of the right side then the lever was hard as the pads looks pretty bad but when you pull the lever u can see the right caliper compress and let go but the left side dosnt move. i dont think its so much the pistons that are seized but the bottom slider dosnt seem to move in and out with the force of the fluid i might have to take it off completly and pull it apart how do you get the brake pad off that goes onto the sliders

Re: gpx 250 caliper
they should just pull off.
you will need to compress the sliders back as far as you can. Then take one end off at a time. They can be trickie sometimes. Also I had bleeding issues when i installed the twins. took me a few hours at first. then a week later when they settled i bleed them again. I would give them a bloody good clean and degresses and see were you go from there.

lol i did this once and now i have paint missing from the fairings. lol that stuff doesnt mix. just keep a eye on your fluids and make sure you dont pump through to much.
Its always a bitch to bleed these things, the thing that helps me, is a clear hose that attachs over the nipple. You will be able to keep the fluid away from wheels and fairings and you will also be able to see how much air is in the lines and also doesnt allow to let air back in.
