Can I pop rivet my yoshi slipon (zx6 06')
Thinking about pop riveting some mounting brackets onto my yoshi slipon instead of using the mounting strap (which I haven't got yet, Mladins closed til July). Won't be welding it on, because I guarantee I would blow a hole in it.
Can anyone see any problems with doing this?
thanks

I've got some stainless lying around so I have another stupid question for ya. Do I need the rubber to go under the strap. If yes where can I get some from. I wouldn't usually care but it's a new and shiny.

Warning !!!!
if the rubber is thicker than 1mm you will squash and dent your can when you tighten the strap !!!! It needs to be super thin !!!! (I speak from experience !
Also, I dont think the sleeve will be strong enoght to support the rivet mount in the middle of the pipe either..

Well I've bodgied it up to get me through until Mladins open in July. Used some exhaust heat wrap to protect can and then used some stainless steel zip ties.

pushbike tube is a bit thin......MX bike tube is better. I reckon the pushie tube rubber would melt on a long road ride, but is fine for short blasts on the track....
