Hi Nick and Welcome.

You could always put a smaller front sprocket on to give you better acceleration, but it would reduce your top speed and make your engine rev harder at 100kph.
A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing.

the front sprocket is about $20 for a -1 front, but you will have to adjust chain accordingly to suit....the supplement manual tells you how to do most of the stuf (might be for the ex250 but is the same bike!!!) never actually found the original workshop manual for it. just do a google for it :kuda:

Don't worry too much mate - those pesky 4cyl Hoonda's give us all the shits from time to time ... (specially the 08/09 1000cc variety)

Alternatively , wait till you get your open class licence and trade up to a MUCH faster bike ;)

My 550 sits on 5k-7k RPM when on 100km/h out of 13k RPM ;) just get a bigger LAMS approved bike IMO

The take off speed of a bike is close to 400km/h if you glue wings to it, it might reduce that speed to about 200km/h.
