milage zxr 750 H2

Hi new here am looking at buying a zxr 750H2 the bike looks clean milage is 50000 km is this a lot or is it worth going for. How high milage before engine renovation? Thanks for any answers JIM

That's low if it's genuine. Especially considering the bike was built in about 1989!! They are a pretty bulletproof motor though and I wouldn't expect it would need a rebuild untill at least 130,000 or 140,000! Of course, that is provided it has been treated with respect and well serviced! 8)

If it helps. I have a ZXR750 93 model. It has done 89,000 plus kms. I have owned the bike for the last five years and have had no trouble with it at all. The engine is still strong and does not miss a beat.
Remember, half the people you know are below average.

Thanks for the help guys, funny enough i am also looking at a 93 model with only 27 thousand km on the clock the price is a bit higher on the 93 I am wondering if it is worth the xtra money for the 93 is it a better bike i will be using the bike 80% road 20% trackday. Cannot really make my mind up the H2 is a classic

If track days are on the agenda, the L's handle a lot better than the H's do. :)
