acceleration comparison?

Post by philbo »

I'm just wondering what would be equivalent in acceleration against my yz 250 (2 stroke) dirt bike in the form of a road bike? i have a ninja 250 but no that my yz would tromp it hands down. Just wondering if anyone knows or has an idea.

YZ is great to about 80kms then most road bikes would run straight over the top of you.

Only a dyno shoot out would tell you the truth, but they develop power in diferent ways so it is a real mixed challenge :?

VZ 6lt Thunder ............. ohhh sorry "bike"

Mate the gearing on the YZ is completely different to the 250cc roadies plus being 2 stroke puts in into the 450-500cc 4 stoke class straight away.
The ally framed YZ 250 (non F) is one of the quickest around in it's class possibly only rivalled by the Katoom / Gasgas.
Drop the rear cog to say a 30T and you might be getting a more accurate comparison....

IMO a half decent RGV or better still Aprilia 2 fiddy would open your eyes up ;)

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

Sheeesh !!?

Maybe we should be wearing straight jackets (or nappies  ) and living in cosy little padded cells once you add PC-III , 17/42 gearing and Gipro/TRE amongst other little tricks!!!! almost in bog stock 'BUG' territory!!! :kuda: :kuda: :kuda: :kuda: ------

Any IT people here know how the hell I can post my 10R flyby vid??? (For acceleration referance purposes  )
