Take it out to Mallala! Although, by the sounds of things, it might be a little challenging....it has corners!!! :D

Depends on why you want to find out, if it's for legal reasons take it to a dyno, but it will give you a higher reading than you will get out on the road or track, due to there being no wind resistence on the dyno, if it's for personal curiosity, as others have said get out on a race track.

Or an airstrip, think Adelaide has an airport doesn't it? Note that it may well be a tad difficult to get your bike on to an airstrip but it's an option if you can swing it (and if Adelaide has an airport of course :D )

Nah, dont listen to all this jibber about race tracks, just find a fixed speed camera.

Speedo's are dodgey at high speed, those speed guns have to be calibrated to be within a certain accuracy. Pretty sure you can go down to your local road authorities and get the pic to frame for your wall later on.

If you go fast enough you'll even have a few old mates in blue turn up on your doorstep to let you know how fast you were going.

mate - it might be able to pull the ton....just

Mallala is a racetrack, yeh. So is Mac Park.

How about 200km north of Adelaide ?? Plenty of long straight stretches out there...

If you are truly fair-dinkum about top-speed runs - get out to Lake Gairdner when there are speed trials on. For a smallish sum, you can enter your 2fiddy, and get proper times runs and accurate top speed figures......although why anyone would bother on a commuter four-stroke twin is beyond me.... :?

Good luck out there ! We want pictures of you lying on the tank in your smalls, just like Rollie Free !!!

GPX250 165, not tucked in with a cross wind and some interesting attempts to keep a straight line. Legally of course.
