Have i told you today that you're a bastard?Mick C wrote:Cheers Glenno...it just won't be the same without you though, but hopefully we should get some good footage that you can watch while sitting on your bike making broom broom noises and pretend you were there
Can't you just zip across a couple of days early. There's more than enough criminals in Vic to keep you busy isn't there.aardvark wrote:Looks like I'll be in Melbourne..... on Monday.![]()
Heading over from Monday through to Sunday to help out my Victorian brethren with duties re: the bushfires.
You'd think they could send me over a day early to head down and watch the races.
I suspect so.Glen wrote:There's more than enough criminals in Vic to keep you busy isn't there.
Ahh I get the picture. I remember getting home from the 1987 Grand prix after leaving the wife at home with a screaming 4 month old for 5 days. Didn't make the trip again for 20 yearsaardvark wrote:I suspect so.Glen wrote:There's more than enough criminals in Vic to keep you busy isn't there.
The missus isn't exactly happy that I'm heading over to work in a bushfire zone and will be gone for a week as it is. On top of that, she's 5 months pregnant and the 2 1/4 year old is out of control at the moment..... Telling her I want to leave a couple of days early will probably cost me more brownie points than I currently have spare.
I imagine that we will be flying across on a chartered flight, given that we have, ermmm, special equipment to carry. I doubt I could get the boss to reschedule the flight just for my own selfish needs.
