Jailbreak iPhone
has anyone on here Jailbroken an iphone 3g? if so with what program and what do you do with your "free'd" iphone ?

i had before it landed in a pool of water. i was running firmware 2.0 and there was a program for windows called winpwn. For the MAC you had quickpwn which worked just as well. all you did was select your phone, 2nd gen 3g non 3g etc, and the program did the rest.
When they upgraded to 2.1 the developers of winpwn didnt release anything, so i had to download a hacked firmware and upload it manually to the phone. was a bit risky, but ended up working. MAC users had the luck that quickpwn was still being developed, so they had the same easy function.
2.2 came out and days later a new quickpwn for the MAC was out again, windows users were left in the lurch.
so if you have a MAC, i can suggest quickpwn, if you have windows, i have no idea now, as ive been out of the scene for 5-6 months and its evolved very fast.
