I bought a bike to replace my black 2001 ZRX1200R!

Post by snowymountainsmick »

This is my ZRX1200R. The family call it Black Betty and my sister calls it bam a lam:

That looks like a lambswool seat cover, but it is actually a high tech fart filter, guaranteed to filter out those troublesome solids while losing none of the desired aromas, etc.

Here is what i replaced it with:

You can see that I was happy with the bike, replacing it with a new one the same.

I have swapped the exhaust systems accross. I don't like the cheap looking cost saving glossy black bits on the new bike and the more I look at it, the more I like the Black Paint job. I still own the old bike, it is on consingment at the shop. I'm sorely tempted to swap the black tank, front and back fenders and the Matte Brown sidecovers and air box for the Slime Green and glossy black stuff. Decisions, decisions.....................

I'm a big fan of the 08 paint. If you want I'll swap you my green 03 body work for your 08 ;)

Noice mate. Didn't like the green of mine until it recently when it grew on me. I've purchased panels to repaint mine. Maybe black...

Mick did you swap the pipes, so the new bike has the akra and the old bike has the new oem system?
