Radar usage in NSW ?
So where can I find out the procedures for how the police use their radar or where they must position themselves when using thier highway patrol car as a fixed radar.
Can they hide in the bushes where they are not seen or do they have to set up where they are seen by the motorist.
Or can they hide where they want and set up how they please.

Thanks Nelso , I have been through that one and it is very interesting. I am actually looking for the procedures used by the police themselves so it is then fact.
In that article they say that but without seeing the Police Set-up procedure it is only what we are being told if you know what I mean.
If I have the correct procedure in B/W then I will believe it . Cheers mate.

hmmm i dont know how accurate some of the things that site says actually is...
M2 Camera in Sydney is facing traffic, and believe me, it takes a photo of you at night and the fine is very real!Third point is that if you are photographed by a speed camera head on, especially at night, it is illegal for them to do so.

I thought it was the guy that ran this site:swabio-ACT wrote:Hmmm I am pretty sure that Cooper dude, was exposed as being a fraud

Same person??
We've received letters using the format that the guy at Aussie Fines suggests. It's well worth the laugh.
Actually, these sites in general are highly amusing. I love lines like this:
"That inevitable question is “Why were you speeding?” Do not admit that you were speeding or may have been speeding. If you admit to speeding at the time of the offence it may be difficult to defend yourself later on in court."
Actually, the copper normally doesn't give a shit what you've got to say. Most of the blokes in my section never ask.

Re: Radar usage in NSW ?
I got to say every time I have been pulled over in Australia the cop has always asked " is there any reason for you going at that speed ? "aardvark wrote: Actually, the copper normally doesn't give a shit what you've got to say. Most of the blokes in my section never ask.
I have 2 standard answers
1. " I was having a whale of a time.......until you stopped me "
2. " fair call......"
The last one made me laugh though - I got the " Having trouble taking off are we wing commander ? "
I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.
