Need help with some PCIII info.

Post by Saki »

Hey guys.

Well i have taken the baffles out of the Yoshi TRS i have on the Z and i must say fuel economy has gone out the window and it doesnt seem to make power as well! I expected this to happen! So i am not upset about that!

However i have decided that i will get PC3 pretty soon to fix it all up. I have never bought one before and wanted to know a bit about them! Anyone else who has a Z1000 or any other biek for that matter and has had 1 installed and tuned up what were the results ?
Sorry if the question seems a bit vague i just want to be pointed in the right direction. Where is a good place to buy them from? I know a good mechanic who has a dyno and the works who has tuned hundreds of them!

Thanks for the help guys!

btw i found this on ebay, any good?

yeah thats pretty handy to know, thanks for posting that up! I was saying to my mate i would be happy if it made at least 120hp at the rear and well, there you go!
Pic is a bit small, did it make any more power ? You have Akra's on yours dont you ?

yeah 125hp sounds pretty good, i would be happy with that. How many KM's to a tank do you get now also ? I am only getting about 170-180km's but thats a stock bike with link pipe and 2 cans and baffles taken out!

Where is a good place to get a PC3 from and what is a good price to pay ?

I'm after one for the Z1000 as well, so very interested to hear of a good place to buy one. Might be able to get a bit of a discount if there are a few of us who need one. ;)

I'd say superbike supply, and say hi to tim for me

If you buy it o/s and things go wrong (and they do) you have no warranty

220km before reserve starts flashing, it's pretty good :)

Can't seem to find a phone number on their site to "say" hi. Any chance of getting one or do I have to email and wait? I might be up for some brake lines, K & N, and PCIII but want to ask some questions first. Their filter and commander kit is $563 but the 3 items that are in the kit add up to $510 if you buy them separately. WTF?

Their price on the PCIII is $410 delivered Saki so it might be worth chasing up. I will be up for getting one any time you are ready. 8)

Anyone else want to join in on the order?

Power Commander USB3 to suit most models (including the Z1000) is $410 delivered.

The kit price with the Air Filter Etc was set when we had the PC3 prices higher than what they are at the moments.

Orders are processed online at http://www.superbikesupply.com.au

No advertised phone number, however we can be contacted at sales@superbikesupply.com.au

Tm

I had my 04 Z1k custom mapped at Dynoverks (Melbourne), with a result of 130hp & 70 ft/lbs of torque @ the wheel.
The Zed is all about the torque, so don't get too worked up on how much peak HP it makes.

I have a full Ti Muzzy exhaust, K&N & airbox mod.
I also got my PC3 from Tim at Superbike Supply.
His service & pricing is fantastic.
Muzzy Ti 4 into 1, Power Commander III USB, K&N, Airbox mod, KLEEN delete, Throttle quickener, Vortex -1 front sprocket, Renthal Ultra Low 'bars, Seat cowl, Ohlins 0.95kg fork springs, ZX6R shock. 130hp/ 70ft/lbs!

I got off my bum and had a look at the finished dyno sheet, 129hp and about 68nm of torque

Different dyno's do read differently, other dyno's have read it at 122 and 125 :)

Either way, you will love the difference it makes :)
