ever been depressed walking into your office??

Post by waynemorgan »

Driving down the Northern Road this morning and have a GTR1400 towing a trailer and with a pillion on-board pull out in front of me. Follow them down to Camden and pulled up next to them - older couple taking their new bike for a ride to Melbourne. All packed up, headsets connected between helmets and going on a long ride.

Meanwhile the lights change so I wish them a safe trip and drive to the office....in my cage.....to sit at my desk...under a fluro.

I love what I do but I'd love to be piloting a GTR on a long ride witha special someone behind me on a day like today.

*sigh*

Cheers,

Wayne
(from his desk under the fluro working hard to earn a living that will let him do this) :D

For me, the past week has been depressing coming to work because I've had to come back to work after such a blast at GP . . . . . . . Oh well, only 3weeks til the Snowy Ride!

When there is nothing scheduled on my calendar, one guess what I'm doing ? :? :) :)
I'm planning up and coming events - I must admit, I do find it exciting planning future trips . . . Tbh, I think that's what keeps me sane ! ! (yeh yeh I know, my sanity is debatable lol). Yep, lurve it ! ;) ;) ;)

Hell yeah. been on arvo this week (1:30pm start) so by the time i get up, frig around and have lunch its time to go to work. nice weather at the moment and i'm riding my bike to work wondering if it would really be such a big deal if i was to just piss on off up the road and keep riding instead. But then i just go to work spending the next few hours wishing i was out. :(
I plan on living forever..............so far so good!!

Whilst work sometimes gets in the way of other stuff I want to do, and as aresult, frustrates the hell out of me, I don't ever get depressed going. I ride there, check my email, then errr, go for a ride. :D

Yeah; the details aren't appropriate for public airing

...but now... I love my job (teaching as a second career); I ride to work every day, arrive at 6.45am and leave at 5pm; AND I'm not dead yet and there's 2 bikes in the garage - mine and the wife's - plus room for the boys' next year. Carpe diem, or something (latin for 'fish for dinner'?).

Moral - find what works for you - noli illegitemi carborundum. (Bastard latin for Don't let the bastards grind you down). And tomorrow's Mick's Pink Ribbon Ride.

After years of hating my jobs, with occasional periods where I was deluded and thought working my arse off for no recognition was a 'good job', I'm finally into a job that I love.

Although I won't be home until tonight, I've just spent a night at Port Macquarie and another at Coffs Harbour, eaten lots of nice food, met & caught up with new people & old friends, did about three hours of actual work in three days, and am soon to blast home in a brand new Golf GTi :)

About the only problem was that with this Gay Behaviour License I wasn't brave enough to bring the 12R and do the Oxley (etc!)... I'll be down on the bike next year for sure!
