I have a yoshi bolt-on, on mine that i chopped 170mm off LOL, soundz fruity now!!!

I had a full Akro system on my last 12 and it rocked. Depends on how much you want to spend. The yoshi was on my 12 when i bought it, so it can stay for now.

Nods, get an akra as the ones i have heard about all have been good, I was told to stay away from the carbon finished slip on ones because of the enormous heat that is generated will burn them up?
Or is that only with the cat' still in the original pipe and a slip on, not a full system?

Anyway, when I HAD my 04' I cut the cat' drilled many 12.5mm holes through the internal baffle plates as I could from the pipe end in the muffler/can and it worked well. Must have gained me a whole 0.002hp and a wank factor of 10

It did sound deeper. ;)

Mind you a pc3 and BMC "road" air filters are a must regardless of what you do.

I probably wouldn't fit an exhaust without a Power Commander.

My bike has a Muzzy can (not full system) with a PC3 and it's fantastic. Sounds great, you can hear it for miles, and it goes like a cut cat.

Yoshi is best bolt-on option, it fit right with the big adapter plate, alot of the pipes that bolt on dont utilise the round protective shield, and it just dont look right.

Yep, spot on Hoffy. The yoshi does bolt up quite clean, and is a great option if you dont want to go a full system

Don't get a full Muzzy system unless you don't mind a small flat spot around 2000-2500  . I recently sold my 06 ZX12r which had a Fully Muzzy system and PC3 and spent heaps on Dynos and tuning but couldn't get it to run smooth down low. Top end was a differnt story  even though I didnt need it often.

I know a guy with an 05 who had a full Akra system and it runs fine with no PC3. I now have an Akra on the ZRX1200r and its sensational :D  .

I've got a full titanium akra system on my 05 12r and it does sounds sweet also very well made and perfect fit, i've heard that some of the muzzy f/s dont fit to well, coming close to touching the fairing and the heat melting the paint im pretty sure that would impress the hell out of ya.

Full Akra is good if you have the $$$.

The system on the MFP12 uses a shortened Yoshi slip-on (cut in half from 500mm to 250mm  ), a Yoshi mid-pipe, and internally-modified and shortened stock header pipes. It works really well. PCIII is a must for a full system, not really needed if you just throw a bolt-on can on the end.

I brought the subject up in another thread,my bad but found this one ,does anyone here have a Megacycle can on their 12R ,and what they think of them, I had a full system on my 900R and liked the quality and sound. Only after the slip on after talking to Ken at Megacycle.

Cheers,

Ron.
