RTA roadworks

Can someone in NSW explain to me wtf it is with either the RTA or NSW councils doing roadworks that it seems to take them several weeks to fix the easiest thing and when they finally DO fix it seems they leave their trademark which is a veritable shitload of loose gravel on the road... the one thing I really really hate about touring in NSW is I seem to encounter shit roadworks all over the place, sually right on the corner and usually on some great twisty road..

and we just love the tram tracks in the middle of the farkering CBD down there

however i agree

RTA delivers the products and service of a charity organisation and charges like a multi national empire!!!!

Tram tracks are a pain, no argument, but they're a permanent ficture, you know every tike you go to that street thre will be tram tracks, you can learn to live with em, hard to learn to live with roadworks that you can a) see no purpose too b) seem to have fulfilled their purpose some weeks ago but still remain as a patch of untarred road but now full of potholes to top it off or c) road now repaired and strewn with loose gravel to keep you on your toes...
