My Ride to Maldon, Vic, ZX6R (+pic)

Post by zx6rider »

Finally got the Bike out today, was waiting for some good weather and thought that it wasnt going to get any better than today.

Pushed the old girl out the shed and with a push of the right thumb she roared to life with little effort, warmed her up and headed off.

she performed flawlessly, taking me around Maldon, Avoca, Maryborough and back to Bendigo.

Here is a quick pic of the 6 at the top of Mt Tarrengower in Maldon, took the pic with my phone so quality of the pic is not so good, but the quality of the subject is superb!! :D

I'm often travelling between bendigo and maryborugh in that area. Are there many nice little twisties at tarrengower?
Theres a nice little section next to the womens jail but damn, it's always covered in shitty gravel. Then turns into a hilly single lane farmers road, not cool for playing on when cars are coming the other direction.
I plan on living forever..............so far so good!!

The road going up tarrengower is narrow and has a bit of moss this time of year, not ideal condtions, I gave the 6 a squirt around one of the corners and the back end stepped out a bit, slowed me down after that new_Eyecrazy.gif

There is a nice bit of road between newstead and Maldon, really smooth bit of road a few turns here and there, not as good as you get down the east of Melb, but ok for what we have up here. Apparently over towards the pyranees ranges there are some really good twisty roads, A mate is going to take me riding over that way one day to show me where all the good roads are, I will put up a post in the rides section if we are going out, thats if you dont mind riding with a Harley???

That goes for anyone who might want to go for a ride in the Bendigo Area, I'm always looking for excuses to get the bike out of the shed, So when I'm headed out next I'll let everyone know.
