I pulled it out today!!!!

Post by Strika »

Yep, first time since June.....!!!! I pulled the Rex out of the shed today!!! :D I pulled the cover off it, pulled the choke on, hit the starter and.............................................naturally it fired straight up!!! 8) Not a moments hesitation!!! :D

I then ran it down and washed the 6 inches of wharehouse dust off it and now intend to stay on it for the weekend!! I parked the Jeep at the office and am going to ride all weekend no matter the weather! I chucked the top box on and have the wet weather pants stashed just in case. 8)

I'm excited...it's been too long!!!!

Unfortunately I won;t get much of a chance to ride anywhere for a proper ride, but at least i'm back on it again! I was thinking I might have lost the urge! But, thankfully, one rush of torque and one flick on it's side, has rejuvinated my desire to ride!!! 8)

See ya's out there on the road...scags! :)

I don't know how you go that long without riding.

I had to take the car yesterday and i was really tempted at 9.30 last night when i got home to throw the gear on and go for a ride.

Mind you i left home at 6 this morning and i live 5 minutes away but very strangely i still got here at 8. Must have got lost somehow.

Good on ya Marty?

You got a pillion on the back that has caused the change of heart? ;)

I had a play with myself too. :D
I had the flu for a week, then HM took my bike for a test ride - and came back in a police car, sans bike.
When it came home we found 2.5 litres of petrol in the oil. Needless to say there was a bit of dismantling to be done. Another week and I finally got it back together at 3pm. No time to organise anyone to come with me, so a quick blat around the block ... for an hour. Ahhh, I needed that.

I've got to confess i've been a little bit of a pussy the last few weeks. Haven't ridden the 900 to work since i got new hoops a month or so ago. I have taken it out for the occasional spin though, very enjoyable! Can't wait to be able to say i did the same on the gsx without a shot valve!

Meanwhile the cars heater has been getting a really good workout on the way in to work at 7am, effing shiftwork!!!

Tell that to the weather.

It's been sub zero here for the last 4 nights. Who was it that said August was allowed to be colder than July? 'Fess up!
