Standard Rear Shocks for ZRX

Post by kawadoug »

G'day. Has anyone got the original rear shocks for their ZRX available to sell. Mine have finally given up the ghost and I would like to replace with an upgraded set but just don't have the spare cash at the moment. I'm assuming that a set of better shocks with the same adjustability would set me back around a grand. Would that be about right. Anyhow, if anyone has a set of shocks which aren't stuffed would you please contact me if you want to sell them. Thanks

Cheers

Doug

Have a look at Hagon shocks through Moose racing.

I phoned a mob called RAD who do rechroming and rebuilding of forks/shocks up here in Qld and they reckon that even if its a worst case scenario the rebuild of both shocks would be $240 so it wasn't as bad as I thought. They say that they can rebuild any shock which is made even if its a sealed unit so it will be interesting. I'd still rather go with another standard set as it wouldn't mean that I have the shocks off the bike and it sitting in the shed for 2 weeks while they do the job but if all else fails, I'll go with the rebuild. I checked out the Hagon site and also Ikon shocks but didn't find anything which would still give me the adjustability of the standards. Thanks for the replys.

RAD does a great job for a good price. Thumbs up.

You're right Rusty. RAD did a great job and it only cost $170 for both to be rebuilt and regassed. The shocks look like new again even with nice new bump stops. They took a couple of weeks but it was well worth the wait. It feels like a new bike again (nearly).
