i think it's cursed...

Post by ttc »

my zed is now 2.5 yrs old

Up to today it had broken down once
been knocked over by a car
had fuel pump replaced, three throttle sensors trying to source a misrunning problem
caused me to permanently damage my hip

now today..

I wanted to ride to work, nope, it broke down exactly like last time, sounds like no compression.
I jumped in the car, went to work, they said they could send the apprentice to get it, no probs. I said Ok, I'll go with him, boss says ok
When he's ready boss says no, you can't go now it's too busy.
I get a call from apprentice, he's slipped loading it and it's gone down. I said ok, don't stress I'll check it out when you get back.. Eventually he gets back, he's freaking about the dent in the tank (it already had it ) only major damage is belly pan, front guard and indicator. Really lucky considering, he pretty much threw himself under it to protect it..

But they did get it to go :).. they hooked a battery to it and cranked it till it fired. But they don't know why it stopped.

But I think they fired the apprentice :( I didn't want them to do that he was a good kid.

I'm at the point I think this bloody thing is cursed :(

Damn!... I agree... either that or in a previous life you killed a chinamen... :( Have you ever had this amount of probs with a bike before?

have other zed owners of the same model etc had similar probs?

Why sack the apprentice, because he dropped your bike? Does he have a history of dropping bikes? I know it's a big thing to drop a bike, but sacking for minor damage?

Am I the only one who thinks this is slightly excessive?

3 strikes i can understand....

as for the bike... so sorry to hear that, but if your spending more time looking at it trying to work out whats wrong with it now, than riding it, i guess it does have to go.

You need to trade it in on a Suzuki! ;)

Seriously- i just got rid of a bunch of peacock feathers in my house after a very long time of bad luck. You don't have any do you? They're bad news!

so how do you exorcise a bike?
a few fast laps to scare it off?
That is why God made fast motorcycles, Bubba.... Hunter S. Thompson.

It stalled and didn't want to go saturday when I went to take it home..

They told me to ride it like I hate it yesterday and it went great..

I think it might be that I told it I'll trade it in on a superduke if it doesn't behave

The only drama i had with my late 2003 Zed Thou was the oil pump seal. She decided to "pop" after a hefty session at willowbank drags. Rightfully so too. She did cop a serious flogging that night. Other than that, i had it 3 years without a hick-up.
