My first couple of mobiles were Nokias and they were ok, so I'm wondering if I should go back to Nokia (maybe the N95) or try another manufacturer?
Would appreciate recommendations

Don't get me started on the list of problems with SE's over the last few years. I gave up buying SE's with their pus-box proprietary O/S's, crap quality keypads and woeful joysticks. It heartens me that HTC are going to be manufacturing their new flagship - the X1.Smitty wrote:The sales manager has had a Sony for several years now..no probs
so true... its one feature that lets it down, its good for in the street walking directions etc but in the car it is slow & not accurate.I bought a navman a few months after the phone as well99coconuts wrote:if your thinking the N95 for the GPS then my advice is forget that gimmick and just concentrate on the phone. i've got 4 family members with an N95 and all of them went and got a GPS after seeing how woefully the nokia performs...
I agree totally!!! I had an 02 mini previously and now have a HTC Touch (Mine doesn't activate the screen with my ear while in call-whereas, the 02 did.) and just love the HTC. But it's a PDA phone and not everyone's cup of tea. I use the email functions while travelling and find it a top phone too. It survived a 100kph slide along a rock wall when I tipped the bike over earlier in the year, so it's tough as well!!!99coconuts wrote:i got myself a HTC touch dual, i guess its not everybodys cup of tea in that the camera isn't as hot as some of the others and it has a little more to it than the 'dummy' interface... but if i want to take photos i use a real camera and i want my phone to be able to run programs not put out by nokia or applepocket pc has been around for years and the sky is the limit with programs available for it, adding a phone to it was just the next logical step. i had a O2 mini before this and it was shyte as a phone but the HTC does a great job of both phone and PPC, my only gripe is that your ear sometimes presses stuff on the screen and you end a call only to find out youve taken a couple of photos or opened a program or something

I've had an N95 8GB for a year now - it's great for me.robracer wrote:N95 8GB is a great choice, but the only thing I have found with mine that erks me is there is no stopwatch![]()
With the N95 Nokia has gone all out in features to try to blow away the competetion but that can only last a short time
