available exhaust mods

Post by Six Addict »

hey guys...

incase any of you out there are wondering about what sort of modification you can do to your ninja 250 exhaust, to make it louder, cos frankly the stocky isnt very exciting, then here is a list of manufacturers:

leo vince sbk
yoshimra exhausts
two brothers racing
area p
roo racing...

the area p seems loud, as well as the two brothers, while the yoshimura with baffle in is noticably quieter...

here are pics of the yoshimura and two brothers...

any options for the zzr250? apart from tapping a hole in it with a screw driver and a hammer?

Bodgey as but you can cut them off at the last plate, where they start to rust anyway, which is why it was done on exes bike.

Do these Ninja 250's have the KLEEN system on em..??

Its a clean air injection system to reduce exhaust gases. Goes from the air box to the exhaust valve in the rocker cover..

Removal of which, on bigger bikes anyway, helps reduce the backfiring when an aftermarket pipe is fitted....

hey dave and owen,

here is a foto of the zzr with 2-1 exhaust

Image

it was originally one of those mauve and puprle ZZRs however the lovely owner decided to match the colour of her bike to her car, and just for a bit of spice decided that gold rims and forks would set it of... i think it looks pretty spiffy...

anywho, about the exhaust...

she thinks its a backyard special, she bought it at the wreckers for $100 and it had come off another ZZR... she said some of the welding didnt look the neatest but she did like the fact it was a 2-1... it has no brand markings on the can at all and this is the other reason she thinks it was a backyard special...

cheers guys

Looks like a Formula 1 can to me. I'm pretty sure they made a 2-1 system for the GPX/ZZR.

They did indeed, and you're right, there is a striking resembelence. And aside from the sticker on the can, i don't recollect any stampings of any sort on the system i got for my GPX750.

cool, thanks for the info guys.
I did find a 2-1 system for the gpx and zzr, however at $800, unless you are going to keep the bike for a long time, it hardly seems worth it

Dave you may be interested in this if you are going to keep it for a while.

If i could pick up a 2-1 for $100 i would throw it on in a heartbeat however
