Ummm just wait for your first track day....... the smaller bikes can be more fun than the big onesbrendanzxr wrote:Yeh i'm a bit bored , i've sort of gone to my bikes limits already.i don't know .

Brendan you are on your L's so just slow down & concentrate on your skills & worry less about the power factor

Re: bore kit for a 250
Yeh i will stick with it , love the thing , it's quick for a 250 4 stroker, just it's a pain with getting parts and some dealers don't want to work on them because their grey imports.

Re: bore kit for a 250
robs right dude i ride a 600cc on the road which is fun
but i enjoy riding my zxr250 on the track the only time it gets a bit boring is down the straight but apart from that its great untill your really pushing for more around corners then move up 250's are great and u will see that at the track when ya get guys on bigger bikes with less confidence and mack it down the straight then slam the brakes on for the corners
lolz

anyone can go fast in a straight line,,,,

Do you mean you are finding it slow in a straight line or corner speed ?

Re: bore kit for a 250
Hey Brendan,
I think you'll find you only THINK you've found the bike's limits.
When you do the track day you'll find yourself proven wrong.
The only real strong reason I upgraded from my 250 was physical size - I was too cramped. Yes of course the whole engine size and faster in a straight line arguments were factors, I won't deny that. But the fact was that the 250 was so agile it could beat most everything else through the corners - it was just uncomfortable.
It's a shame I didn't follow you all back down the oph on Sunday - you really only saw the postie on the uphill section. The downhill on the way back would've shown you a thing or two about small bikes
Stick with the 250, do the track a couple of times.
There isn't much around to do technically to the 250s as people don't keep them long enough for mods to be cost effective. Better off to stick with it and upgrade to a 600 when you're allowed.

If you have no fear, you're not going fast enough.
Never argue with an idiot. He'll drag you down to his level, then beat you with experience.

Brendan my fine young charge! You are dillusional dear friend!!!!brendanzxr wrote:Yeh i'm a bit bored , i've sort of gone to my bikes limits already.i don't know .

Take it from someone who has done the odd kilometre and even at one point, dipped his hat in the racing ring........... You are NOWHERE near the limit! Give it to someone like Wattie to demonstrate to you what I mean or even more realistic, hand it over to gilesy, the O' SHow, Hendo or either of the Staufer boys to really show you what limits are on a 250! Believe me, at this point, you have no idea!
