ZX9R Fairings??

Post by ross79 »

I'm thinking about getting an older 9 (1998) and wanted to know if the later model fairing would fit, ie: 2000 onward. Anyone tried this?

AFAIK, the front and side fairings, and the bellypan, should fit You'll need the H bracket from the later model though. The E series ducktail will probably fit, but the F series wont. The E and F series are better bikes (the F even more so than the E), For all the work that's involved in swapping the fairings over I think you'd be better waiting for a later model one to come up at the right price. HTH.

Thanks for the reply Dave, the reason I'm asking is that I was looking at buying a beaten up one that needs some panels replaced.
